Position overview: This position is responsible for telephone, retail and trade show product sales, processing customer orders and responding to customer’s inquiries, questions or complaints, seeking remedies to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responds to customer’s inquiries or questions regarding products or services.
  • Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer calls. Drives sales by actively making customers aware of product promotions and asking to add lines to the orders.
  • Determines best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and company adherence to policies.
  • Continuously acquires updated knowledge of the product lines to be able to demonstrate and discuss with customers.
  • Follows up, either verbally or in writing, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Occasional overnight travel for trade shows and visits to other Mann Lake facilities as required.
  • Ability to work regularly and dependably.
  • Ability to function in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform mental tasks such as making decisions, learning, thinking rationally and exercising good judgment.
  • Assist in other departments and complete other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Some inside sales, retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of beekeeping, raising poultry and/or other agricultural experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Should be action oriented, maintaining a high energy level.
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and orally, including the telephone.
  • Mobility within the work facility.
  • Ability to travel independently.
  • Ability to operate computer keyboard and telephone.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
