Will Temporary Staffing Job Opportunities Grow?

According to CareerBuilder, yes!

Temporary employment is growing, and CareerBuilder conducted a survey to see just how much. As it turns out, there was a 15% growth from 2009-10, and a 57% growth from 2009-2014! Temporary jobs were some of the first added to the job market throughout the recession.

CareerBuilder predicts that temporary employment will grow by another 13%, which means an estimated 350,000 jobs. In addition, a CareerBuilder and Harris Poll study showed that approximately 3 million people are currently finding work through temporary opportunities. Among the most popular positions for temporary employment are customer service representatives, secretaries or administrative assistants and other types of office workers, computer support specialists, maintenance and repair workers and more.

So why is this good news? Well, we’ve already talked about how a temporary job has the possibility of growing to a permanent one. Temporary employment can also supplement your income while you search for a permanent position, and it’s great for those who don’t want to tie themselves to one job. Temporary employment also provides flexibility and additional work experience.

Here at KB Staffing, we have a team of dedicated temporary employees, and we work with them to find suitable, fitting temporary employment.
